Under 11 League Bohs A 0 Villa A 1
Our U-11A team were crowned league champions when they defeated Bohs on Wednesday evening last. On a sunny evening, with the Ben Wadding park perfect for football, both sides served up an entertaining game for the onlookers. We started the better and took the lead within 5 minutes when Evan O Donnell raced clear to slot home with ease. However, the home side responded to this setback and put us under pressure but solid defending kept the home side out.
In the second half we took more control of the game and created a number of chances but failed to convert, which left the game in the balance right to the end. Great excitement greeted the final whistle with this side just deserving the victory on the night and the being crowned league champions.
Overall this group of players have worked tremendously hard all season and have shown a lot of ability and deserved their rewards. Each player contributed to a very successful season so well done to the entire squad of Adam Donovan, Sean Murphy, Liam Coonagh, Austin Gleeson, Craig Brown, Lee Crowley, David Tyrell, Tommy Power, Gavin Jacob, Tadgh Whelan, Karim Abdou, James O Neill, David Hobbs, Evan O Donnell, Niall McCabe, Luke Kelly.
Well done to Managers Liam Connors and Gary Power on the league victory.
